Adventure Bay Powercats have just announced the addition of a 46 foot Powercat to their existing range of fully moulded 56 footers.
The new model will offer a large cockpit with the focus on watersports activities. Diving, game fishing, socialising, all at half the fuel burn of similar size planing monohull boats.
The transom features wide double doors in the middle for hauling in a Marlin or a quick load of the tender into the generous cockpit. Also a cockpit sofa and dinette affords a great shady view for family watching all the activity or fisho's spotting fins circling the lures. The day head takes care of bathers needing a quick bathroom stop or sheltered shower.
Up forward protected bulwarks give a safe feeling for family and crew moving forward in rough sea's.
Inside a generous dinette, galley and full length sofa adorn the salon.
3 double Guest cabins and 1 head fill the hulls with the master on port having an island queen berth and head along side. In starboard 2 guest cabins, 2x bunks in 1 and 1x double in the other with the cockpit day head serving the guest needs.
The huge flybridge is also the main steering station which is located for good views of the transom as well as the bow and the sure-footed Cat stability means it is still comfortable up top in the rough. Seating for 10 on the flybridge is only possible on a Catamaran with the increased stability that the 2 hulls provide.
Adventure Bay's distinct rounded bow takes away the Powercat boxiness that many mono hull owners have disliked in the past. Plus the advantages of better stability at rest and underway, half the fuel burn at speed, soft dry ride in the chop, and 20-30% more main deck and flybridge space.
At 5m beam by 14m long she still squeezes most new 14 meter berths.
Power with Twin inboard engines via shafts, legs, Pods or Waterjets from 260hp per side to 480 hp per side depending on cruise speeds from 20 to 35 knots. Displacement hull form or planning hull forms are optional in the female moulds.
